Lion’s main is known at the ‘Priest Mushroom’. It is a delicious culinary mushroom that grows on old hardwood trees. However, due to its rarity, it is a protected species in the UK and some other European countries. In Myconutri’s products, the cultivated fruiting body is used. As well as immune-modulating polysaccharides Lion’s Mane produces a number of antimicrobial secondary metabolites (erinacines and hericenones) that may help promote the generation of Nerve Growth Factors with those produced by mycelium (erinacines) being particularly active.

About MycoNutri

MycoNutri was founded in 2008 by Martin Powell. Having worked with mushrooms whilst studying Chinese Medicine in Taipei in the early 1990s, Martin went on to teaching and writing books on Medicinal Mushrooms and their uses. As a result of his studies and research over the years Martin realised there was a shortfall in quality mushroom products for an affordable price available to practitioners and their patients. Since then, it has been Myconutri’s sole ambition to make the best quality mushrooms at affordable prices available to everybody.

The range offers the highest quality mushrooms. They carefully select the most active raw materials for their products to ensure the highest level of efficacy. All their products contain scientifically produced combinations of the most active components of each mushroom.

What makes them different?

They use a combination of hot-water extracts, ethanolic extracts, mycelial biomass, mushroom fruiting bodies, mycelium and synergistic nutrients to deliver the full health benefits of each mushroom. The quality of all MycoNutri products is ensured by careful section of the best raw materials together with individual inspection of all suppliers and rigorous independent UK laboratory testing of raw materials to ensure they meet the highest standards.
